Christmas Ornaments For Trees?

This morning, the older three kids and I went to a few garage sales. The last few weeks have been total losers, so we were excited to find several fabulous things. I got 6 boy shirts, 2 boy jeans, and 2 Nike tennis shoes for $6.00! We also got a few toys, a brand new B&W television for M. to take apart and these fabulous ornaments!

Huge Christmas Ornaments

Are these the biggest ornaments you have ever seen? We couldn’t wait to show them to John. When we walked in the house we all started singing, “We wish you a Merry Christmas. . .” He loved them. We immediately took them outside to see how they’d look hanging from our bird feeder tree! How fun.

I love yard sales, and we go every week during the season. Today I also found 4 brand new coloring books that I’m going to stick in the boy’s stockings, a new backpack for N. to store his medical equipment in, and a whole brand new set of astronaut guys. Does anyone else like yard sales?  Diane

It’s Not Only For Girls

I thought this was too funny when both of my littlest boys woke up with really bad hair. I always assumed that bad hair was only for girls but apparently not. Here’s the smallest one. Bad boy hair

And here’s his bigger brother!

This is why girls rarely go to sleep with damp hair. The morning result isn’t pretty.

This is also what happens when you tell little guys to smile! It’s not always a pretty picture is it? Just now our nine year old can smile without looking totally strange.  Diane

Mother’s Day 2009

Every holiday our family celebrates has a theme attached to it. Mother’s Day this year was no different. John, and the girls came up with the theme of “Cafe’ la Mere”, which means Mom’s Cafe. They decorated the room like a french coffee shop, with lights and candles. It was beautiful. I got lots of great gifts, but as usual, the best gift of all was just being their Mom!

Easter 2009

We had a great time this Easter hunting eggs and going to church. Our friend Kristy came over for Easter lunch and helped us hide eggs for the kids. All the kids from oldest to youngest hunted eggs. We hid eggs for the little guys in the front yard, and for the big guys in the back yard. Son #3  thought he was big enough to keep looking for eggs in the big kid area!
